Just can't make a connection to George Washington White, died in Palestine on 18 APR 1895---and buried in Palestine Cemetery, CW tombstone, 47 IL US INF, with other White surnames in Crawford Co. IL censuses. Maybe he had a married sister living in Crawford Co. According to the IL CW database, George was with the 47th out of Fulton Co. He does not show with Crawford Co, and might have consolidated with the regiment from Crawford Co. IL. Thanks, Shari
