On this farm he was born May 6, 1860. He married July 6, 1882 Abbie Jane Bowen and she died March 21, 1911. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alma Evans and Mrs. Ruth Newlin of Fort Gibson, Miss; three sons, Ira and Guy, West York, and Ray who is in the U. S. army in France; two sisters, Mrs. August Cooper of Terre Haute, Miss Ella Hand of West York and one brother, Will Hand of Terre Haute. Burial in Draper Cemetery.
