Surnames: KINNEY Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ue.2ADI/1356 Message Board Post: Family "legend" has it that my great-aunt, Marie Kinney, died during/after a botched apendectomy performed on a kitchen table somewhere in Crawford County/Robinson, Illinois. I don't have much other info other than that her parents' names were Eugene and Jessie Kinney, she (Marie) would have been about 12 (plus or minus 2 years or so) at the time of her death, and she was a deaf-mute. Also, she probably was born in Michigan or Ohio sometime shortly after 1892. She is not listed with the family in the 1910 Federal Census (by which time the family had located in Wood County, Ohio), so I am presuming she passed away sometime between 1900 and 1910. If anyone there could help me find additional information about Marie, I would be most thankful.
