Lindsay was born July 5, 1861, and departed this life July 19, 1922, aged 61 years and 14 days. He was a son of Samuel R. and Elizabeth Lindsay, both having preceded him in death. He was a life long resident of Crawford county. He has been failing in health for about a year but bore his suffering patiently until the end. He leaves 6 brothers, namely W. S., Alonzo, Amos H., J. B., Elmer, and Ferman Lindsay, also two sisters, Mrs. Priscilla Lewis, of Chicago, and Mrs. Louisa Allison, of Bridgeport. He leaves other relatives and a host of friends to mourn his departure.Funeral services were conducted at the home of his brother, Alonzo Lindsay, Thursday afternoon at two o'clock by Rev. T. B. McClain and interment was made in the Ford cemetery.
