Buck, 82, Route One, Oblong, died at 4:15 p.m. Sunday at Crawford Memorial Hospital. He was born in Oblong Aug. 23, 1896, son of the late William Buck and Mary Huckaba. He was married to Lela Way at Willow Hill Nov. 16, 1921 and was a retired farmer. He attended Central United Methodist Church, Oblong. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. John (Mary) Helm, Oblong; two grandchildren, Rita Helm, St. Louis, and Todd Helm, Oblong. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, with Rev. Eugene Black officiating. Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
