Son of John and Mary Ann Wesley was born October 28, 1849, departed this life February 14, 1919, age 69 years, 3 months and 17 days. On December 23, 1875, he was married to Serena J. McKamey, who survives. To this union were born ten children, Mrs. Elsie A., wife of Ernest T. Oldham, of Robinson, Ill.; Mrs. Mattie, wife of Russell Mefford, of Oak Ridge; Elmer, William, Fred of Eldorado, Edward, Earl, Erskin of Camp Custer, Mich., Myrtle and Ethel preceding him in death. He leaves to mourn his departure a faithful wife, eight children, six grandchildren, two brothers, John and Elijah and other relatives and friends. He united with the United Brethren church at Union in 1865, later moving his membership to M.E. church at Oak Ridge.
