Transcribed by Dan Weger. Chloe A. Miller (6/26/1978) Chloe A. Miller, 77, 202 E. Indiana St., Oblong, died at 7:40 p.m. Sunday at Crawford Memorial Hospital. She was born July 13, 1900 in Newton, daughter of the late Charlie and Sarah Elizabeth Harris. She attended the Prior Grove Church and married William Miller, who died August, 1966. Survivors include one son, Eugene Martin, LaPorte, Ind.; two foster sons, William Jordan of Oblong and Eugene Jordan of Morris; two brothers, Kendall Harris, Decatur, and Junior Harris, Olney; a half-brother, Lee Swope, Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Inez Wilson, Newton, and Mrs. Bernadine Scull, Oblong; four foster grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong with the Rev. Nathan Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Newton. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
