    3. Barb, I am doing the line of George Washington White. He died in Palestine, 18 APR 1895, and is buried in Palestine Cem. This line is really confusing. It is appearing more and more They came out of SC, possibly from NJ or MD to Old Rappahanock, VA very early on. What adds to the confusion is that they moved often---or sure appear to have moved a lot. I went by some of the neighbors names in Casey Co. KY 1810 and 1820 censuses. This is were my dad's line of Rousey/McGinnis comes from. This line goes to John Catlett, Ralph Baldwin, Raph Rowzie (Rousey). I am finding a big connection to my Whites with this line! George Washington White was mom's line from marriage of Isabel White (George W. daughter) and James Daniel Reynolds in Crawford Co in 1865. Isabel and James's daughter was Sarah Elizabeth, who married William Albert Williamson, DeWitt Co. IL (my grandparents). Really turned out good! Poor, but good. Benoni White, early Crawford Co, is a connection to Perquimans and Pasquotank Co. NC---and the family lines seems to have blended. I have been racking my brains for years concentr! ating on all these different Whites---when it dawned on me that they may have not been related at all. Some who came into an area were probably very distant cousins. This is like 50 years down the road. I am trying to stick to one time frame---and go forward. I know George Washington m. Sarah Malinda Turner in Crawford Co. in 1851. One of the books on history of families says George went to the gold rush. I would think that would be impossible since he had child James born in IN in 1848, Isabel in 1849 (Casey Co. KY), and Nancy in 1850 in IN. Then he marries Sarah Turner in 1851. I know I can't find him in any 1850 census with Isabel, Nancy, and James! Somehow, all the names connect to Randolph White, who was in Casey Co. in 1810. Randolph was born in ENG in 1755. He died in 1831, Howard Co. MO---and somehow they connect to the Benoni White line of NC. Benoni was born in 1790 to Benjamin and Rachel Elliott. I know the Elliott line also married into the line of m! y dad's line----Gaines, Catlett, Rousey, McGinnis, Minor, Rains, Talia ferro. Many of the neighbors in the Casey and Crawford Censuses either married a White--who in turn dvorced--and remarried. I am convinced many of the children had other names other than White. These woman who were married before must have had children when one looks at dates for them. I am thinking many used the name of the head of the household, but when married, they used their biological surname. So many unanswered ?s!!! I thought if people could tell me where their line in Crawford Co came from, I could narrow in on things. It really looks like a lot of the early men in Crawford Co. were soldiers---and building forts---or something. Shari
