I'm just posting an Obit that was sent to me by Barbara Dix who is transcribing old news articles for the website. All known information about this obituary including dates, locations, and newspaper are posted here, if known. Mrs. Essie Guyer. Funeral services for Mrs. Johanne Henriette Solberg Guyer, whose remains arrived here from California last Sunday, were conducted by Rev. P. C. Danielson of the West Lutheran Church on Monday afternoon, and the body was laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. The services were attended by many, and the wreaths and other floral designs were many and beautiful. The deceased was born in Throndhjeinn, Norway, October, 30, 1893, and came to America in 1914, making her home with her aunt, Mrs. J. M. Nervig in Duluth for one year. She then came to Madelia where she lived until three years ago when she left with her husband to make her home in Glendale, California. She was married to Essie Guyer Nov. 19, 1920. Mrs. Guyer leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, a sister, Mrs. Wm. Feder of Madelia, a brother, Sigurg of Minneapolis, and her parents and brothers and sisters in Norway. The sincere sympathy of this community goes out to Mr. Guyer and to Mrs. Feder in their hour of sorrow. Madelia (Minn.) Times Messenger.
