Hello! Is anyone available to search Crawford County courthouse records for a document relating to the dissolution of a marriage circa 1855-1862? I would be pleased to pay all postage, mileage and copy costs (and a reasonable hourly fee.) This was a case of abandonment--the husband, Aaron C. INMAN (b. 1807) went off to California and "was never heard from again." His wife, Lorahanna MOTE INMAN later sold the couple's property in Hutsonville (1862). It is my belief that she would have had to document this abandonment in order to sell the property that was in her husband's name.
