That research does indeed give James Coryell and Melissa Willard as parents and also gives parents for Nellie M. Voorheis as James Voorhies and Alice A. Leamon. The research looks exceedingly sound and I am trying to contact the author. Thanks to everyone who helped!

I have been trying to prove whether John belongs to my Johnson family and had traced some of the children out. I found Benjamin Ford in early census records, but he and his wife disappeared and do not know if they moved away or just got missed on census records. Helen

I am new to this list, and wanted to post some of the individuals I'm searching for. I am looking for information on William MINNICK, born about 1850 in Robinson, Crawford Co., IL. I do not know who his parents were. I am not sure if he ever married Alice C. KEEVER, b. abt. 1853 in MO, daughter of Edward W. KEEVER b. abt. 1830 and Amanda LAYMON b. 1836 IN. It is said that the two of them had three sons, Emery Minnick b. 1877, Otto Keever b. 23 June 1893 North Muddy Twp., Jasper Co., IL, and Sherb Keever/Minnick. I believe that Emery Minnick married Mary E. Martin on 9/21/1898 in Jasper Co. Otto Keever is my great-grandfather. If anyone has any information on this family, it would be greatly appreciated. I am heading to Ford/Livingston/Iroquois Co., IL for a Keever Family Reunion next week and would love to solve this mystery if I can. Thank you for your time. MARTHA PEARSON, DEC 7, 1859--Crawford Co. 1860 Crawford Census shows James, age 45, Martha, age 40, son John, age 4(born in KY), and children Martha from previous marriage---Catherine, Mary, and Abigail. JAMES REYNOLDS was my gr-gr-grandfather. He was first married to Eliza SPURLING, 1 JULY 1830 in Green Co. KY. Believe John to be a son from James and Eliza. James and Eliza also had Mildred, William Thomas, Emily Jane, and James Daniel. My Mildred may have married James S. DeWitt in Crawford Co. William Thomas married Jane Weatherford (AKA Letta Jane Weatherford Brush). Emily Jane married John Mann, Hickman Henderson, and Joseph Sponsler Baker. James Daniel m. Isabel White in Crawford Co., 13 JULY 1865. Isabel was the d/o George Washington White and Catherine Pearce---although she always claimed Sarah Malinda (Melissa) Turner to be her mother. James Daniel was my gr-grandfather. James T. Reynolds (grandson of James and Eliza Reynolds) married Julia Simons. I have info on James Daniel and Isabel White info forward. I have little info on John, who appears in the 1860 census, and Mildred. Would like to find out what happened to James who married Martha Pearson. Did they divorce, did he remarry, possibly Elizabeth Crum about 1863? Note: Strong possiblity that George Washington W! hite was born in 1818 in Union, SC--which later became NC. Parents would be William W. and Clarissa Kingswood White. Clarissa died in SC shortly after George was born. George and Catherine Pearce married in 1842. They also had James and Nancy. Isabel was born 1 OCT 1849 in Casey Co. KY---but am wondering if it was actually Caseyville in Clark Co. IL. James and Nancy were born in Indiana. Would love to know about them. James Daniel and Isabel White Reynolds removed to DeWitt Co. IL. James Daniel served with his brother, William Thomas, 60 IL US INF from Crawford Co. William's obit shows he died in 1920--a day after his sister, Emily Jane Reynolds Mann Henderson Baker. James Daniel was b. 5 JULY 1844, Campbellsville, Taylor Co. KY. He died 9 MAR 1913 in Wapella, DeWitt Co--and Isabel White Reynolds died 10 JAN 1922, Wapella, DeWitt Co. IL. Both are buried at Long Point Cemetery. Several Turners from Crawford Co also came into DeWitt Co. Any info on CATHERINE PEARCE WHITE m! ost appreciated. I do know her parents were Absolom and Diademia Webb Pearce. Diadema died fairly young. There was also one Rose or Rosanna (sister of Catherine)who married one John Jackson. Thanks for any info. Shari

According to the published list of burials at this cemetery, there is not a Dickerson to be found. [http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilcrawfo/cems/dicker.html ] I am trying to locate the family of Eli Dickerson (b. 1800) who came to Illinois after 1850 and was living in Claremont Township, Richland County, Illinois in 1860 [his surname on the census was spelled 'Dickinson.'] That year his household consisted of Eli, his wife, Martha [House], aged 56; children Sarah, 23; Mary, 22; Nancy A., 19; Eli C., 16; R[ichard] H., 10; Geo. H., 7; Susannah Grimes, 26 and Susannah's husband G[eorge] W[ilbur] Grimes, 27. Following the census of 1860, the entire family seems to have vanished from the face of the earth. I have never found another sign of Eli, Martha or any of the children. There is at least a tenuous connection between Eli and Crawford County as a cousin of his, Rachel Dickerson Howell, was living in Township #5 [P.O. Hardinsville] in 1860, though she and her family moved to Lawrence County by 1870. Could the Dickerson Cemetery have any connection to Eli's family? Might he have owned the land at one time? Most of the burials listed don't seem old enough to date back to Eli's time, but there are a couple from the 1870's. I would appreciate any information someone might have on this cemetery and how it came by its name. Thank you. Sincerely, Larry Dickerson
