    1. Palestine Cem. Listings

    3. George Washington White was buried in Palestine Cemetery. I have a picture of his tombstone that was inscribed Co D, 47 IL US INF. I found that George started out with CO A, Fulton Co. IL, and consolidated with CO D. My questions are: In the Palestine Cemetery listings at the Crawford GENWEB site, George is in Row 12. The listing states that there is a small wooden marker, no date and name, and a small stone with the name of Forest. From the way the listing is laid out, it appears this goes with George. Does anyone know if this listing came from a cemetery book---or was a visual? Could George have been buried on top of his wife or possibly mother? Also, does anyone know who the A. G. H. White was that died 13 FEB 1857 at age 17. He was buried in Row 12, and was 17 yrs old. A. G. H. is buried by the Kitchells and Cosens. Thanks for any information. Shari

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ue.2ADI/1333.1 Message Board Post: In some family-related notes of mine, I see that there was a JOHN RUSSELL who married LAURA McCAFFERTY in 1864 in Daviess County, Indiana. They had at least six or seven children. Of those six or seven children, one of the middle ones, named THEODORE RUSSELL, married my grandmother's older sister, NORA CHAMBERS. Theodore was born in or near Glendale, Indiana in 1871. His wife, Nora Chambers was born in November 1880. Theodore died in 1935, and Nora died in 1962. Both of them are buried in Bicknell, Indiana. Theodore and Nora had five sons and one daughter: Arnold, John, Clifford, Walter, Helen, and Delbert. Are these names familiar to anybody? If so, please e-mail me [lfosterkrupp] at [yahoo.com].

Surnames: Henry White/Martha Lagow Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ue.2ADI/1381 Message Board Post: There is a large file on Henry and Martha at rootsweb family trees. Would anyone know who the parents of Henry White were? This line has many names such as Capt John White m. Sarah Leonard. There is mention of Capt. Charles Swearingen--and other Crawford Co. names. This goes way back--and appears to be well-documented. Also, Steve Ezell, if you are out there, please contact me. I lost your e-mail. Ihave found two possibles for our George Washington White, born in 1820. John and James White were in 1820 Crawford IL census. John goes back to NC. and reappears in Crawford Co married to Jane. He is 62 at the time. I believe this Jane to be Jane York. But, he was also married to one Elizabeth Powell earlier and possbily Mary Pitman. James was also married to Elsy Foster. Shari in SC

    3. I'm trying to find a stone in the Robinson New Cemetery, buried in 1997, without walking the whole cemetery. Is there a book in the Library that has this information, if not, who would have it, and how would I reach them? Also, I need some marriage/divorce information from 1970 up to present. Do I have to scan the newspapers for this information or does the library have something containing this information, or would the court house give it to me? Thanks, Cheri Thompson
