I don’t have a source for this information, but I believe it came from Ancestry World Tree at Ancestry.com. This database also shows that Jeremiah Senior York died 26 June, 1797 in Dover, Mason Co., KY and Jeremiah “Jerry” Junior York (your Jeremiah II) married Sarah Hargis (various spellings) in Nelson Co., KY [Nelson Co, KY Bonds, Marriages and Consents, 1785-1800, Ockeman] and died 10 September, 1835 in Tell City, Perry County, Indiana.. My (again undocumented) information indicates that Sara Rachel, Caleb’s daughter, was born in 1866 and married John E. L. Miller. Caleb and Marinda Laura (or Lorain) Clark were married on 11 December, 1859 in Crawford Co., IL [Volume B, p.115, license B1148]. This came from the Illinois Statewide Marriage Index at the site of the Secretary of State of Illinois. Marinda died 30 December, 1915 in Bennington, Bryan Co., OK. She applied for a widow’s pension (application 312,424, certificate 34,612 from Arkansas. I don’t know where I obtained that information. Perhaps these are clues that might help you in your researching. Tom

Does anyone have any info on John White who married Jane York, 1822, Crawford Co. IL? As early as the time, I am thinking their lived in surrounding community. Am also wondering if he may have been related to Rev. David White (his son Jacob), who were in DeWitt Co. IL about 1818 further. Thanks for any info any of the White families from Crawford Co. IL. Many of the early Whites appear to have been passing through. Shari

The original immigrant of my York branch appears to be John who was born @1704 and died 1740 in Spotsylvania, VA. I believe he was the father of the first Jeremiah who married Mary Thomas in VA. They moved to Kentucky where Jeremiah I died in 1797. Jeremiah II married Sarah Hargrass and died 1835 in Perry, IL. Jeremiah III married Sarah Hill and died 1866 in Oblong, IL. Caleb Wesley York was the son of Jeremiah III and Sarah Hill York. Caleb married Marinda Lorraine Clark in Crawford County, December 1859. Caleb died November 24, 1881 (I believe in IL but can't locate the documentation to confirm my belief). I know Miranda moved to Oklahoma with her sons and died in Oklahoma as I was able to visit her gravesite last year. I'm also looking for the birth record for my great-grandmother (daughter of Caleb) as she is sometimes listed as Sarah Rachel, Sarah Etty, Rosie, Rosia York. Let me know if we find that any of our ancest! ors appear to connect.
