I am looking for info on James Howard VanHorn b. 1 Dec 1882 Robinson, Illinois Also any information on his parents that supposedly died when he was young and caused him to be adopted by a "Parker" family. Their names were Edmond Vanhorn and Emma Mullins, James was my grandfather. He came from Flat Rock Illinois to Fort Preble in Maine around 1910. Story is he changed his name back to VanHorn (from Parker) when he turned 18. Any information would be really appreciated. Thanks, M Johnston Clinton ME

NC ca 1813 to Thomas Tirey and ? She had many siblings. By way of TN and KY they ended up in LAWRENCE CO IN where in 1830's she married James Cameron, also of NC. 2 daughters from this marriage. Second, ca 1839 she married she married Charles ANDREW Davis. One son, Isom Davis from this marriage. After 1840 she married William Terrell, born KY ca 1813. I believe his father was born VA. Someone from Ireland said Tyre and Terrell were different spellings of the same name. Susannah was born 1850 in LAWRENCE CO IN. I believe John Riley was born after her. Lucindas place in order I don't remember. Have info at home. Nancy Tyre had siblings of the same name as her children. I am still researching the Terrells background. Sometime before 1870 William and Nancy moved to JASPER CO. IL . Their children seemed to stay around, some in neighboring counties, LAWRENCE, CRAWFORD & RICHLAND. By 1900 there were Tyres living across the border in Terra Haute IN. One of my grandfathers brothers married one of the girls. I believe John Riley married a Boyd woman. Lucinda I don't remember her spouses name, it's at home. Susannah married Michael HAMilton Carr in 1870. Another sister, Malinda Cameron(by Nancys 1st) had a son Frank who went by Tyrell. Not sure if she was married or not. Frank left and went west. They said to Oregon. Not sure if they meant state or city by that name. Nancy, William, Susannah, and Ham are buried in Atens Cemetery in Hidalgo, JASPER IL. One married a Conerly/Conley in IN and lived in area. One married a Dr.Phipps. If this sounds like your Terrells sent me your snail-mail and I will send you a copy of what I have. Virginia Carr Martinez 2412 Leckrone Dr. Plainfield IL 60544 GINNY 2 vmartinez5946@aol.com
