He lived at the upper edge of Lawrence county and was well known in and around Flat Rock.

I am looking for the ancestors of John Green PARKER, son of Jeptha PARKER and Susan GREEN. John G. PARKER married Irene C. BENNETT on 7 Sep 1865 in Clark County, Illinois. John and Irene are buried in the Coats Cemetery, Pratt County, Kansas. Jeptha PARKER was the son of George David PARKER and Sarah Jane ALLEN. Thanks. Sue, would you mind giving a brief run-down of what's in the book? Is it primarily a history of the county, mentioning mainly the movers-and-shakers, or does it cover a broad range of the counties in the family, a-la Donna Johnston's "Our Crawford County Illinois Heritage"? Dear Crawford County friends, I am looking for information on the county of origin in KY and the parents of the subject man. He lived near Flat Rock, having arrived about 1839, and is buried in Ford Cemetery there. He was married to Martha Ann Strange Terrell who also came from KY with him and died in 1873. Their children intermarried with the Carter, Mullins, Nuttal, Allison, and Stant families with marriage dates in the 1860s and 1870s. If anyone has any information on this man, please contact me.
