Seems I have four people in my family that stem from Mattoon, IL. I need to verify some things and wondered if anyone could possibly help out. My grandfather George Clarence Price was born 09/18/1897 in Mattoon His brother Louis or Lewis was born there also. No date as yet. My g.greatgrandfather George Price was born possibly in Mattoon, married Alice Cavanaugh 01/11/1893 in Mattoon. Alice's parents were: Michael and Allice McGrath Cavanaugh. George Price worked for the Big Four Railroad and is shown in the 1898 Mattoon Directory. George Price's father was William P. Price, mother was: Susan Lovett Price That is just about all I have at present. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
