Hi List, I am kind of stuck here and was wondering if someone on the list could point me where to go next. We have a branch of the family we are researching, and found a marriage there in Coles Co., but we are not sure if it is the right people or not. It is a marriage between William DUNN and Amy HATCHER, on 24 July, 1864 by a J.P. I sent for the certificate, but all we got on the certificate was just those facts...no parents, no residence, ages or place of birth, so we can tell if these are the right people or not. Any ideas of where to go next?? Were there other records kept of marriages? Or is this all the county kept? They did not stay long, if it was our ancestors, as they show up in 1870 in Waupaca Co., WI. And the HATCHER family was from Ohio. Our Wm. Dunn was from Ireland. Those are our best clues. Any ideas??
