I have just subscribed to the Coles Co. list and am hoping I can find some information on my g-grandparents, John B. SPARKS and Margaret Jane GILBERT. John was born in 1845 in Vigo Co., IN and he and Margaret were married in 1880 in Jasper Co., IL. This was his 2nd marriage. In the 1900 IL census they were living in Coles Co., Ashmore Twp., Ashmore Village and this is where John died on 25 Jan 1919. He is buried in Ashmore(Robertson) cemetery. My quest is to find an obituary for John. Does anyone know what newspaper an obit might be in and/or exactly where this cemetery is? I would appreciate any information. Thanks, Pat
