He was born approximately 1873, married Margaret Florence Dishon approximately 1900. They lived in Mattoon from that time until at least the birth of their 4th living child which was born in 1917. Those four children's names were Alberta, John Jr., Elmer Norbert and Sarah Juanita. Sometime between 1917 and 1920 they moved to Terre Haute, IN.
