Hello everyone. I'm one of those subscribers who goes on and off the list and right now I'm on:). I am a genealogist for my Hackett branch of the family who were known to be in Hittesville Twp by 1850 (census info). I'm looking for anyone who is descended from them. The line follows: Hacket, John - 58 - KY - Farmer - 300 Elizabeth - 54 - VA Amanda - 32 - KY Merrill - 28 - KY Armelda - 26 - KY Melinda - 23 - KY Susan - 17 - IL Wilelma - 15 - IL Lucy A. - 13 - IL David - 11 - IL Robert - 9 - IL Wells, Elizabeth - 21 - KY George Ann - 1 - IL They were not listed in the 1840 census for Coles Co., but it is fairly obvious, if they gave the right info, that they were somewhere in IL. I am descended from John and Elizabeth (Murphy) thru their son Oliver Cromwell Hackett who was born in 1822, but I am interested in ANY info from this line. I would like to document this line as much as possible, all their descendants, not just Oliver's line. Also, I am the Hackett list master so I have a general interest in the Hackett surname as a whole. Oh, and if you follow the homepage address below, there is a Hackett section.
