Hi All, I have just posted this query to the Coles County, Illinois GenWeb site and thought I should copy the list. Isaac Kindred WELLS was born circa 1830 in TN? Isaac is enumerated in the household of Alex MONTGOMERY on the 1850 census in Coles County. I have no other information about him or what, if any, connection he had to the Montgomery family. He could be a hired hand or relative, who knows? Isaac married Martha Ellen EASTIN on 27 Feb 1853 in Charleston, Coles County, Illinois. Their issue: John Andrew, Cynthia Jewell, Isaac Sherman, Joseph C., and Mary Alice, were all born in Mattoon, Coles County, Illinois. The family migrated to Crawford County, Arkansas appearing in the 1880 federal census there. By 1900, they were in Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory (kna Pittsburg County, Oklahoma).
