Hi Dorothy, Thank you so much for the information. When you were reading St. Francis Cemetery, did you come across Katy Kues's tombstone or Maria Catherine Kues's tombstone? Jaime and I were there 3 times now and could not find it; yet, I know that they died and were buried in AViston, Illinois. Phyllis
No, we didn't see stones for them. Often times the families didn't have money for stones for babies/children, they had to use every penny they had to keep the other family members alive. Or the stones were so much smaller that the quality hasn't made it through these 100 + years. The only baby stone in St. Francis Cemetery that we show is B 4 63 KUES, J. Wilhelm 22 Nov 1878 16 Jun 1881 Here Rests. * ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, July 07, 2003 7:45 PM Subject: Re: [ILCLINTON] Death Record > Hi Dorothy, > > Thank you so much for the information.
