Hi, Jim, I see James Monroe Biswell's marriage in the Illinois state marriage data base at http://www.sos.state.il.us/GenealogyMWeb/marrsrch.html I just inserted Biswell in the statewide groom data base. You could try to call up William Brown the same way - I skimmed the first 500 but I don't know his middle initial. You'll also have to call up Wm and Willis Brown. Then for fun, you could try Biswell statewide brides. If you still don't find anything, the Washington County marriages are not in the data base, you could check there. I assume you already checked in AR and MO.
