    1. [ILCLINTON] IL State Historical library - lending again

    3. Looks like the State Historical Library did not get to move after all the preparations they made. But they will be back in the lending-of-microfilms business again on Monday. There is a "Microfilm and Newspapers" category in the upper right hand side of the address below. If you want an article from the Carlyle newspapers, our volunteer Linda Holthaus [email protected] might be able to help you if you know the date of the event - if the date is included on http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilclint2/newspapers.htm It costs her 50 cents per copy. I'm not sure which Clinton County newspapers are in Carlyle. Try borrowing a microfilm of any Illinois newspaper through your local library, browsing through the newspapers really gives you a flavor for life at that point in time. Don't forget to check for Silver and Golden Wedding anniversary announcements, they often contain a wealth of genealogy information. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Diane Walsh" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, July 05, 2003 2:56 PM Subject: [ILSTCLAI] IL State Historical library - lending again Word was received by our local librarian that the Illinois State Historical Library microfilm department will resume newspaper microfilm lending again as soon as they unpack the rolls. http://www.state.il.us/hpa/lib/default.htm
