Dorothy, I went to the web page printed in the second line below. That is where I looked at surnames and found the Lander name. That is all I know, but I am searching desperately for all Lander families in order to overcome my stalemate on finding my great grandmother who was Mary Lander. She married Christian Wolf and Mary died in 1876, leaving me without many sources to find more about her. My grandmother was only nine months old when her mother, Mary, died. Any info on August Lander might help me. I'm going to the Midwestern Roots Conference in Indianapolis today and will be back Saturday.
