    3. Hi, Yvonne, Just want to be sure that you know that the majority of Centralia is in Marion County. I don't see Lotti/Lottie in the unproofed Clinton County 1900 census or the 1913 Commercial Businesses or the proofed 1920 Brookside census. If you go to our Clinton County Surname Helper at http://surhelp-bin.rootsweb.com/surindx.pl?site=ILClinton and then choose the "L" and then chose the subshred, you'll find 2 references to Lotti's, but nothing that actually says they lived here very long. The 1920 census has it's own research/finder. The 1930 Clinton County Census for that portion of Wamac City that is in Clinton County shows: Hatti J. Lotti, owned home, value $800, aged 30, land lady, has boarding house, widow, Ger Ger Ger, immigrated in 1900. Borup/Berep, Roland F., Boarder, 31, carman for railroad, IL US IL Lotti, Mark Alfred, Son, 12, IL Italy, Germany Lotti, Marcella P., Dau, 9, IL Italy, Germany (Yvonne: Something to think about: Roland is listed 2nd, therefore he has more status in this household than her children. If you don't know this name and if it's important, come back to me and I'll look at my CD to see if it's any plainer.) The Illinois marriage index is at http://www.sos.state.il.us/GenealogyMWeb/marrsrch.html You might just put in Lotti in the Groom and leave it at statewide, the two brothers are there in Marion County. Then try Lotti in the Bride. I don't see Hatti's remarriage, but the data base only goes to 1920 for Clinton and to 1900 for Marion. Both will give you all names that begin with Lotti, so just disregard the ones you don't need. The Illinois Death Index at http://www.sos.state.il.us/GenealogyMWeb/idphdeathsrch.html - just put in Lotti and leave it at statewide. It will give you all spellings that start with Lotti. Is that your Louis that is listed there? Both lived in Centralia and were miners. They were born in Italy in 1870's and were brought to USA/Ill by an uncle. They married, had families and lived in Centralia. I have family information that say Joseph Lottie had or was a partner in a Photography studio in Centralia. I would love to find out documentation for the photo studio and any additional information about these 2 brothers and families. Louis Lotti/Lottie was my grandfather. Thanks in advance.
