Yesterday Gloria and I met Molly Kennedy in Springfield, Illinois - she does genealogical research for people for a fee. Right now she charges $3 for death certificates anywhere in the state, if they are online and the date is not shown in red - those are still at the county clerk's office. Her price will increase to $3.50 in December. After our learning experience yesterday, we think that her prices are fair. Prices for other items that she'll look up for you, including obituaries anywhere in the state, if they were published, are included on her web page. This does not include marriages since those are not in Springfield but at the IRAD's, counties and Family History Centers.
