Surnames: Hertenstein, Hurst Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ig.2ADE/69 Message Board Post: Barbara Hertenstein, born 18 Nov 1822, came from Germany to the United States with her son Gustav Ludwig Hertenstein sometime between 1852 and 1856 and settled in Looking Glass Township in Clinton County. She married George Hurst, also from Germany, in Clinton County 7 July 1856. I believe George had two children of his own before he married her. From there I have lost her. I don't know if she and George divorced or stayed married. I can't find her under either name in any records after that. Can anyone help me?
