I am trying to find out any information on Gerhard Kues (b. 6/12/1851 and d. 9/9/1931). He married a Wilhelmina Toeben-otke (b. 1/21/1859 and d. 4/23/1944). I Know the names of their children. What I am looking for is their brothers or sisters and anyone else related to them. I have traced Gerhard Kues back to Germany and have discovered his parents names but Wilhelmina Toeben-otke is very hard to find any information on. Hi, Phyllis, For both your Kues and your Venhaus queries - do you live near by that you could go to either the Belleville Public Library or the St. Louis South County Library and check the Catholic Churches microfilm that is only available at those two spots? If the St. Francis's Church records are readable, you might find a treasure trove. On the other hand, you might not find anything new. Do you have a feel for when they arrived in Clinton County? In our county, there was one clerk in the county Clerk's office that made his "u's" and "n's" identical, so I'd recommend you check on Knes, too, that includes the State marriage data base.
