    3. I am researching a James Monroe Biswell. He was born in St Francois Co., MO. He was living in Monroe Co., ILL in 1856 when he married Susan Jones, born in Jefferson Co., MO, on May 21, 1856 in Monroe Co., ILL. They later moved to Clinton Co., ILL. James was in the Civil War. He went in the Army in Sept. of 1862, and was living in the Sugar Creek/Trenton area. He was discharged in June of 1865 disabled. He died in Dec. of 1888 in Clinton Co., ILL. I am trying to find a record of his death and where he is buried. He also had a daughter, Rosa Bell Biswell who died at age nine in 1880 of the measles. I have her death record, but it doesn't say where she was buried. So, I am trying to find where she is buried also. Would appreciate any help. Thanks Charlotte Christensen

    3. I see no Biswell in 1870 or 1880. You could search the 1880 census free at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp One way to search would be to query on the 1880 US census, just insert the surname and leave it at all states. After you link to any link that looks interesting, click on the "Household" over on the right hand side. I assume you know that 9 month old Rosa is the only Biswell listed in our death index. No further info on where she is buried. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jim and Charlotte To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, October 07, 2003 8:44 AM Subject: [ILCLINTON] I am researching a James Monroe Biswell. 3. Yes, I have the death record for Rosa. I have been to Family Search and found a lot of Biswell's there. Thanks for checking for me.
