Dear Carol, I can't help you with your search, but I saw that he came from Edenkoben. I have visited there, but only for a few hours. My gr grandfather, Henry P. Acker, came from there with his parents when he was five years old. They settled in Randolph Co., then Monroe Co., IL. They were Evangelical. If you have time we could correspond about Edenkoben. Darlene, I am a bit curious about Edenkoben. So far, my acquaintance with that town has been through the church records. What can you tell me? I have a curiosity in my genealogical file, which knowledge of the early 1800's culture of the town might help. Heinrich Deutsch's parents had 3 children (born 1821, 1825 & 1827) before they married (1829, Edenkoben Catholic Church). From the Catholic church records, it looked like that was a fairly common thing. Do you know anything about that?
