Harnetiaux, 57, of Greenville, Tamalco Township, died Sunday, Nov. 9th, 2003, at Utlaut Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. He was born on March 29th, 1946, in Highland, the son of Vern Dale and Mary Glover Harnetiaux. On June 8th, 1968, in Vandalia, he married Dixie Lee Young, and she survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Joe Downen of Keyesport and David Harnetiaux of Greenville; two daughters, Jule Foster of Greenville and Dawn Moss of Highland; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Vern Jr., and Larry Harnetiaux, both of Greenville; and three sisters, Marie Kleber of Carlyle, Verna Pyle of Vandalia and Gail Harnetiaux of Greenville. Preceding him in death are a son, Jeffry Young; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Daniel and Sammy Harnetiaux. Mr. Harnetiaux was raised on the Harnetiaux farm south of Greenville, attended Keyesport schools and Carlyle High School. He served in the Air Force Reserves. He was also a truck driver for Hookdale Elevator, Freight Service, Bill Anthony Trucking and Poettker Trucking and a heavy equipment operator at Keyesport Sand and Gravel. He farmed all his life. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Nov. 11th, at 11 a.m. at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home, with Darryl Bolen, Tom Ranken and Roger Sande officiating. Interment was in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Visitation was at Donnell-Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville.
