Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Nov 5, 2003, Page 2a/Col 4-5 Waneta Schwierjohn, 87 Waneta Y. Schwierjohn, 87, of Germantown died Monday, Nov. 3rd, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. She was born on May 14th, 1916, in Tamalco, the daughter of Henry and Cleo Cole Diekmann, and they preceded her in death. On July 2nd, 1938, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carlyle, she married Alphonse Schwierjohn, and he preceded her in death on September 23rd, 1989. Surviving are a son, Dan Schwierjohn of Germantown; three daughters, Janet Schwierjohn of Germantown, Donna Chimino of Wadsworth and Sandy Bonvie of Breese; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a brother, Frank Dieckmann of Keyesport. Preceding her in death was a sister, Dorothy Isaak. Mrs. Schwierjohn was a homemaker and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Altar Sodality in Germantown, American Legion Post 325 of Germantown Auxiliary and past president, Germantown Senior Citizens and past president, and Mater Dei Mothers and Friends Club and past president. A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Thursday, Nov. 6th, at 11 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown, with Fr. Stephen Humphrey officiating. Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery in Germantown. Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.
