Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Nov 26, 2003, Page 2a/Col 3-4 Laura J. Wuest, 91 Laura J. Wuest, 91, of Trenton died Friday, Nov. 21st, 2003, at Countryside Manor in Aviston. She was born on December 26th, 1912, in Aviston, the daughter of Henry and Louisa Strake Kuhl, and they preceded her in death. On May 5th, 1937, at St. Francis Church in Aviston, she married Arthur Wuest, and he preceded her in death on June 18th, 1989. Surviving are a son, Laurell "Corky" Wuest of Breese; a daughter Fran Deien of Trenton; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Cecilia "Til" Renschen and Josephine Molitor, both of Aviston. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Frank, George, Otto, Tony, Edward and Msgr. Urban Kuhl; a sister, Mary Alberternst, and a great-grandson. Mrs. Wuest was a housekeeper for Msgr. Kuhl for many years and a member of the Altar Sodality and St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton, where a funeral mass was conducted on Monday, Nov. 24th, at 11 a.m., with Fr. Jim Dougherty officiating. Interment was in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
