Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Dec 3, 2003, Page 2a/Col 3-4 Bernard A. Deimeke, 60 Bernard A. "Junior" Deimeke, 60, of Trenton died Wednesday, Nov. 26th, 2003, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on April 16th, 1943, in Highland, the son of Bernard and Elvera Seefeldt Deimeke. He was raised by Herman and Clara Dall Wesselmann. On April 25th, 1987, at St. Bernard Church in Albers, he married Bonnie Hegger, and she survives in Trenton. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Joseph, Daniel and Mark Deimeke, all of Trenton; two brothers, Vincent and Melvin Deimeke, both of Trenton; and two sisters, Donna Martin of Village, Fla., and Mary Lue Bange of Pierron. Mr. Deimeke was an engineer with the Clinton County Highway Department and a farmer. He was a member of St. Mary Church and men's sodality in Trenton. He was a director for the Sugar Creek Ambulance Service and Tempo Bank. He was also a member and trustee of Trenton Knights of Columbus and past Grand Knights, a member of Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Bishop Althoff Assembly and past Faithful Navigator, a former District Deputy for the Illinois State Knights of Columbus, a member of Trenton American Legion Post 778, and had served as a Trenton Cub Scout Den leader. In May of 2003, Junior, his wife Bonnie and sons Joseph, Daniel and Mark were honored by the Illinois State Knights of Columbus at their annual convention in Springfield by being named "Illinois Knights of Columbus Family of the Year for 2003". A funeral mass was conducted on Monday, Dec. 1st, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church in Trenton, with Fr. James Dougherty officiating. Interment was in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
