Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Oct 12, 2005, Page 2a/Col 2 Virginia Kues, 80 Virginia J. Kues, 80, of Carlyle died on Sunday, Oct. 9th, 2005, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. Born on Jan. 29th, 1925, in Carlyle, she was the daugther of Edward A. and Bertha Mae Cohoon Taylor. Survivors include one daughter, Toby Tipton of Canon City, Colo.; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Kues was preceded in death by one daughter, Coleen Lawhorn; three grandchildren, William Norman III, Jeffrey Norman and Michelle Lynn Norman Laux; nine brothers and sisters, Mabel Givens, Mildred Easton, Flossie Plew, Lucille Taylor, Buddy Taylor, Connie Taylor, Alvin Taylor, Eugene Taylor and Tilford Taylor. She had lived in Carlyle since 1970 and worked as a cook. No services are scheduled, but memorials can be made to the Special Olympics and will be received by Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle.
