Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Feb 19, 2003, Page 2a/Col 4 Clete Lager, 75 Clete B. Lager, 75, of Aviston, and formerly of Albers, died on Tuesday. Feb. 11th, 2003, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville. He was born on May 19th, 1927, in Albers, the son of Joseph and Lucille Bahlmann Lager. On Sept. 21st, 1948, in Albers he married Acquiline M. Fauke, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 31st, 1996. Surviving Mr. Lager are a son, Don Lager of Aviston; two daughters, Jeannine Mueller and Connie Delahunt, both of Aviston; eight grandchildren; one brother, Andy Lager of Albers; and one sister, Aurelia Woods of Trenton. Mr. Lager was a superintendent of Stag Brewery in Belleville. He was a member of St. Bernard Parish and Men's Sodality in Albers, Knights of Columbus Council 2921 in Pinckneyville, and Moose Lodge 930 in Pinckneyville. Services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15th, at St. Bernard Church in Albers, with the Rev. Louis Koehr officiating. Interment followed in St. Bernard Cemetery. Visitation was at Hempen Funeral Home in Albers.
