Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Feb 4, 2004, Page 2a/Col 4 Frank B. Ratermann, 92 Frank B. Ratermann, 92, of Carlyle died today, Wed., February 4th, at Carlyle Healthcare Center. He was born on Oct. 15th, 1911, in Aviston, the son of Fritz and Theresia Voss Ratermann. On Oct. 27th, 1942, at St. Felicitas Church in Beaver Prairie, he married Eleanor Kreiter, and she preceded him in death on July 2nd, 1993. Surviving are a daughter, Judy Kampwerth of Breese; a son, Jerry Ratermann of Sandoval; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and a brother, Victor Ratermann of St. Libory. Mr. Ratermann was a retired farmer and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Carlyle and the Holy Name Society of the church. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Mary's on Friday, Feb. 6th, at 10 a.m., with Fr. George Mauck officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, Feb. 5th, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle.
