Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Mar 17, 1999, Page 2a/Col Clara Reagan, 89 Carlyle resident Mrs. Clara "Pug" Reagan died at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese on March 10th, 1999, at the age of 89 years. Born in Irishtown township on Dec. 31st, 1909, she was a daughter of William and Fannie Perine Stephenson. In 1943, in San Antonio. Tex., she married Bert E. Reagan. He died Dec. 8th, 1988. A sister, Margaret Orrell of Carlyle and nieces and nephews survive. She was preceded in death by a sister, Micha A. Braun. Mrs. Reagan had been employed at Moran Shoe Factory in Carlyle for over 30 years. She was a past president of the Carlyle American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carlyle. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 13th, at Carlyle cemetery. Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle was in charge of arrangements.
