On the LDS pilot site they now have some Germany records that you can search, can anyone tell me the difference in these two places Thuine, Niedersachsen Lande, Germany and Thuine, Hanover, Preussen, Germany ? I believe Thuine is a name of a town. Linda
I am not sure but I suspect they are both the same place, just with a different time frame. -----Original Message----- From: ilclinto-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:ilclinto-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Linda Holthaus Sent: Saturday, May 24, 2008 1:53 PM To: ilclinto@rootsweb.com Subject: [ILCLINTO] Germany On the LDS pilot site they now have some Germany records that you can search, can anyone tell me the difference in these two places Thuine, Niedersachsen Lande, Germany and Thuine, Hanover, Preussen, Germany ? Dear Linda: Thuine is the town name and Niedersachsen is the German state of Lower Saxony located in Northwest Germany. The Niedersachsen/ Lower Saxony was known as the state of Hanover during the 19th century.
