Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Feb 16, 1994, Page 2/Col 1 Bertha Wilke, 70 Mrs. Francis G. (Bertha E.) Wilke of St. Rose died Sunday, Feb. 13, 1994, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. She was 70 years old. A daughter of August and Frances Huelsmann Grapperhaus, she was born in St. Rose Township on June 8, 1923. On Nov. 27, 1952, she married Francis G. Wilke in St. Rose, and he survives. Other survivors include three sons, Timothy and Robert Wilke, both of St. Rose, and Henry Wilke of Eades, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Zita Brousseau of Breese, Mrs. Rosanna Koch of Aviston and Mrs. Louella Hollenkamp of Germantown, and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Wilke was a dietary aide for Chastain Nursing Home in Highland. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Breese Senior Citizens and St. Rose Golden Age Club. She also was a member of St. Rose Church in St. Rose where her funeral was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15. Rev. Edward Schaefer officiated with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was at the Bruegge Funeral Home in Breese.
