    3. Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Feb 26, 2003, Page 2a/Col 3-4 Anthony J. Strieker, 75 Anthony J. "Bud" Strieker, 75, of Aviston died Wednesday, Feb. 19th, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. Mr. Strieker was born June 25th, 1927, in Sugar Creek Township in Clinton County, the son of Anton and Rosa Zurliene Strieker. On Oct. 28th, 1953, in St. Rose, he married Mary Ann Thole, and she survives. He is survived by five sons, Joe Strieker of Collinsville, Philip Strieker, Brian Strieker, and Roger Strieker, all of Aviston, and Clifford Strieker of Jackson, Mo.; three daughters, Barbara DeNeve of Paducah, Ky., Betty Strieker of St. Peters, Mo., and Cindy Rabideau of Auburn. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; a brother, Alphonse Strieker of Aviston; and two sisters, Lucille Mersinger of Troy and Bernadette Frey of Aviston. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ferdinand H. "Ferd" Strieker; two sisters, Dorothy Holtkamp and Christine Strieker in infancy. Mr. Strieker was a retired farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of St. Francis Church in Aviston, Aviston Knights of Columbus Council 11110, and the Clinton County Farm Bureau. Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 22nd, at St. Francis Church in Aviston with the Rev. Chuck Tuttle officiating. Interment was in St. Francis Cemetery.
