Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Oct 6, 2004, Page 2a/Col 3-4 Charles E. Pigg, 54 Charles E: Pigg, 54, of Centralia died Sunday, Oct. 3rd, 2004, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born May 17th, 1950, in Centralia, the son of John C. and Betty Thompson Pigg. Surviving is his mother, Betty Bauman of Centralia; a daughter, Katherine Hanneman of San Angelo, Texas; a son, C. J. Pigg of Centralia; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Carolyn Pigg of Centralia and Betty White of Portland, Ore. He was preceded in death by his father; and infant sister, Janet Marie Pigg; a brother, Bill Pigg; and his stepfather, Dwain H. Bauman. He was a driver for Buske Trucking. He served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was of the Baptist faith. Graveside services were conducted today, Wednesday, Oct. 6th at Ebenezer Cemetery near Boulder, where burial took place. Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle handled the arrangements.
