Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Mar 6, 2002, Page 2a/Col 3 Victor Just, 81 Victor J. Just, a resident of Boulder since 1982, died at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia on Friday, March 1st, 2002. He was 81 years old. Born in Fairman on Aug. 3rd, 1920, he was a son of Joseph and Susan Cochran Just. On Oct. 27th, 1944, in Peoria, he married Mary K. Lyons, and she survives. Additional surviovrs include one son, Gary Just of Pekin; two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Fisher of Pekin and Vicki Chatterton of Boulder; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren: one brother, Joseph Just of Peoria and three sisters, Mrs. Frances Boothman of Sandoval, Mrs. Clara Fitzgerald of Maquon and O'Linda Lyons of Peoria. A grandson, Eric, and two brothers, preceded him in death. Mr. Just served in the U. S. Marine Corps in World War II. He was a laborer and 50 year member of Laborers Local 165 in Peoria. He worked as a security guard at the Boulder Marina for several years. Funeral services were held Monday, March 4th, at 11 a.m. at the Day Funeral Home in Sandoval. Rev. David Starr officiated with burial in Clark cemetery in Boulder.
