    3. Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Feb 16, 2005, Page 2a/Col 3 Ann Kauling, 92 Ann Kauling, 92, of Beckemeyer died Thursday, Feb. 10th, 2005, at the Carlyle Healthcare Center. She was born March 9th, 1912, in Wade Township, Clinton County, the daughter of Henry and Barbara Fockes Kampwerth, and they preceded her in death. She married Joseph H. Kauling on June 1st, 1938, at St. Anthony Church, Beckemeyer, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 7th, 1973. Surviving is a son, Paul Kauling of Carlyle; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Kevin and Robert Kauling; a granddaughter, Susie Kauling; brothers, Bernard, Herman and Alphonse Kampwerth; and sisters, Sr. Henrice P.H.J.C., Sr. Clarasita P.H.J.C., Gertrude Langhauser and Agnes Langhauser. Kauling worked with her husband at Kauling Hardware in Beckemeyer and retired from the Carlyle Healthcare Center. She was a member of St. Anthony Church in Beckemeyer and St. Ann's Altar Sodality. She enjoyed gardening, pinochle and making quilts and crocheting. Ann was the last child living of the "Kampwerth 5" who came from Germany-her father and aunt and uncles. A mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Feb. 14th, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Church in Beckemeyer, with Father Chuck Tuttle and Deacon Bob Lippert officiating. Interment followed at St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation was at Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle.
