Union Banner, Carlyle, IL, Jan 21, 2004, Page 2a/Col 1-2 Wilma L. Arnold, 89 Wilma L. Arnold, 89, of De Kalb died Wednesday, Jan. 14th, 2004, at the DeKalb County Rehab & Nursing Center. She was born on March 7th, 1914, in Clinton County, the daughter of William and Julia Curdt Heinrich, and they preceded her in death. She married Forest M. Arnold on Feb. 14th, 1934, in Okawville, and he preceded her in death in 1982. Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Aikeley of DeKalb; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Freida Davidson, Leona Cole and Florence Edwards; and two brothers, Robert and Ervin Heinrich. Mrs. Arnold had been employed as an LPN for the DeKalb Public Hospital, St. Mary Hospital in DeKalb and Pine Acres Care Center in DeKalb. She enjoyed working with her hands doing crocheting, needle work and making afghans and quilts for family and friends. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Jan. 19th, at 11 a.m. at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle, with Rev. Francis Avila of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Carlyle officiating. Interment followed in Carlyle Cemetery.
