My aunt's name was Ruby Cornelius BURCH, and I've often wondered where she got the name. I now wonder whether we might possibly have a connection? Ruby Cornelius BURCH was born 3/15/1907 to Enoch Arden and Anna Marie (FUCHS) BURCH. Enoch was born 3/11/1867 in Carlyle, Clinton Co., IL. Enoch's brother, William Allen BURCH was also born in Clinton Co. on 10/04/1859. Birth info for both Enoch and William is from their Death Certificates. I've never found any other information about them (or their family) prior to the 1900 Census, but later Census Records say that their parents were born in VA/WV. Do you happen to know of any connection between your CORNELIUS relatives and any BURCH or FUCHS family? Thanks for any possible clues you might provide.
