Klostermann, 97, of Trenton, and formerly of Chester, died Friday, October 5, 2007, at Carlyle Healthcare Center, Carlyle. Born May 24, 1910, in St. Rose, she was the daughter of Anna (Hoff) and Joseph Schrage, Sr. and they preceded her in death. On September 24, 1930, she married Bernard F. ""Barney"" Klostermann at St. Rose Church, in St. Rose, and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1971. Survivors include a daughter, Ruth (Herman) Haselhorst of Trenton; and two sons, Paul (Bonnie) Klostermann of Chesterfield, Mo. And Frank (Shirley) Klostermann of Collinsville; eight grandchildren, Cindi (Brad) Weathers of Nashville, Gail (Kevin) Kellermann of O'Fallon, Jeff (Arlene) Haselhorst of Noblesville, Ind., Mark (Lisa) Haselhorst of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Greg (Sheila) Klostermann of Arlington Heights, Lynn (Harrison) Chien of Chesterfield, Mo., Douglas Klostermann of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Bruce Klostermann of Collinsville; and 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Hedwig ""Hattie"" Welling of Aviston, and Dorothy Maloney of St. Charles, Mo. Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Klostermann; three sisters, Bernadine Schumacher, Anna Wilke and Sr. Jeanette Schrage, ASC; five brothers, August Schrage, Otto Schrage, Joseph Schrage, Robert Schrage and Leonard Schrage. She was a homemaker, and devoted her life to her husband, children, church, and other charities. At Trenton, she was a member of St. Mary's Church and Altar Sodality, where she served as a past president. At Chester, she was the sacristan for St. Mary's Church, and volunteered at St. Ann's Nursing Home. She was a life member of the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary in Breese and donated many handmade quilts for church and hospital fund-raising events. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, October 8, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. Jim Dougherty officiating. Burial followed in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton. Moss Funeral Home in Trenton handled the arrangements.
