The fathers name is j.w. cornelius - and i think he married mary. They had two sons George (info unknown) and Joseph born circa 1834 in illinois - who died in 1878 in illinois. joseph married a martha durbin (from KY) and they had daniel j cornelius circa 1867 - he was my great grandfather. i am trying to trace back the Cornelius line into Virginia ? Does anybody know of a j.w. cornelius that left virginia to head west? - i have joseph (the son) cornelius in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 Census in Clinton, IL. i am also trying to find out what happened to daniel's siblings - there were several i believe Barney, josephine, Robert, Anna Cecil, mary, gracie, ben and katie - any help would be appreciated.
