>From the Carlyle Union Banner, Mar 15, 2006 Ruth M. Spivey, 86 Ruth M. Heinzmann Spivey, 86, of Cupertino, Calif., died Saturday, March 11th, 2006, at her home. Born Dec. 27th, 1919, in Shattuc,, she was the daughter of Clemens and Edna Heinzmann. She married Robert Everett Spivey and he preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by her daughters,. Ann E. Heinrich of Nevada City, Calif. and Sara E. Spivey of Menlo Park; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Helen Heinzmann Conn of Albuquerque, N.M. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Eugene and Herbert Heinzmann, all of Carlyle. She lived in Carlyle for many years and attended Carlyle High School. After moving to Cupertino, Calif. in 1966, she taught in the Cupertino Union School District for many years and was beloved by her students. She was an avid reader, active in her book club and gave many the lasting gift of love for reading books.
